Wozoco, Amsterdam-Osdorp. Wozoco is the first housing project realized by MVRDV in the Netherlands, requiring 100 units for elderly residents. Initially, it was found that only 87/100 units could fit within the main building structure, to maintain adequate sunlight in the adjacent buildings, so the Architect solution to include the remaining 13 units was to cantilever them on the north side of the building, avoiding to occupy more public space as well.
