About

Taipei 101, Taipei. Soon after its construction, the building went under retrofit operations in order to achieve LEED-EBOM Platinum certification, becoming one of the greenest buildings of that size. The building automation and energy efficiency were in fact optimized to achieve a 10% saving in electricity usage, water consumption and garbage production, leading to annual energy cost savings of about US$700,000. The 101 storys are sculptured to represent a blossoming flower, signifying financial prosperity and everlasting vitality. [Top of screenshot cut — likes count not visible.]
