MUSAC, León, Spain. MUSAC draws the scenario for art with the same optimistic attitude used by the Roman land surveyors to sketch their cities in the landscape. The building consists of a set cluster of autonomous rooms that hosts exhibitions of differing sizes and types. Each of the jaggedly shaped rooms constructs a continuous yet spatially differentiated area. Outside, the public space takes on a concave shape embraced by large colored glass, which pays homage to the Cathedral of Leon as a place of relationship between people and the city.
